Tom’s life was transformed by the performing arts, though at the time he had no idea participating and developing public speaking skills through the 4-H club was part of the performing arts. But the confidence and self-esteem he derived therefrom has had such a profound and positive impact on his life. He holds a BS and JD from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, and has been licensed in Tennessee since 1970. He was Murfreesboro City Attorney for 30 years. His professional achievements include, President of Tennessee Municipal Attorneys Association, President of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers, Board of Governors, Tennessee Bar Association, and Chair of the Tennessee Bench-Bar Committee.
